CMDFA National Board

Prof John Whitehall, National Chair

 Jane Noller, Acting Treasurer

Dr Chris Williames, Recent Graduates, Staff Worker

Chris is the current CMDFA National Recent Graduates Worker. He has a keen interest in encouraging recent grads to continue in their faith in Jesus and to continue in fellowship with other Christians. Chris is married to Suzannah, who is also a medical doctor, and together they attend Syndal Baptist Church in Melbourne. Chris works as a General Practitioner in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. He first became involved with CMDFA after attending an Impact conference as a first year medical student. During this event he was challenged about the important intersection of Christian Faith and Medical Practice and has been involved with CMDFA since.

Dr Patrina Caldwell

Dr. Nathan Combs

Nathan is a GP Registrar Obstetrician in Geraldton Western Australia where he lives with his wife and two kids. Nathan has been involved with CMDFA as a student and is passionate about mentoring and mentoring relationships.

Dr. Sneha Kirubakaran

Sneha currently juggles several part-time roles as a PhD student (in Medical Education at Flinders University), a Lecturer at Flinders University (teaching Faculty Development and Clinical Skills) and a rural GP (once a month in a rural SA town and ad hoc as a rural locum). She also travels overseas as a volunteer doctor or medical educator once or twice each year, particularly to China. Sneha has been a CMDFA member since 2000 as a first-year medical student and has been involved in leadership roles in leading 11 overseas medical mission trips (Intermed SA); leading the teaching team and running both the Saline Process course and their Train the Trainers course in SA and in leadership roles for Medical Education Consultancies and the Australia; New Zealand Association of Health Professional Education (ANZAHPE). As a new board member, Sneha would hope to provide valuable assistance to the current running of CMDFA but also to explore new avenues of activity, e.g. to explore how Health Professional Education with an explicit Christian worldview could be provided in a more stream-lined way to Christian health professionals in Australia

Dr. James Yun

James specialises in clinical immunology, allergy and immunopathology. He is currently a staff specialist at Nepean Hospital in Sydney, and a clinical senior lecturer at the University of Sydney. He graduated from the University of Melbourne, completed most of his training in Sydney and then PhD in Bern, Switzerland; James first became a CMDFA member as a first-year medical student and is also involved in the NSW branch committee. He is married to Rose and has three lovely boys who keep him occupied at all times! His prayer is that we will see growth in CMDFA members especially in their 30s to 50s and see more local fellowship meetings flourish all over Australia so that we can unashamedly live out faith in practice despite all the changes taking place in our society.
